Starflight One: The Worst TV Movie Ever

I caught it years and years ago, I’m sure on its first run in 1983. Starflight: The Plane That Couldn’t Land was about the worlds first hypersonic transport through the upper atmosphere. But theres a problem! It gets stuck and get get down! OMG.

Through lots of overused stock footage, they launch the Space Shuttle Columbia with some sort of accordion-airlock to attach to the airliner and bring the passengers home. But it splits, or explodes, or something, and a bunch of passengers die.  Even at 4, I figured at this point the movie wasnt worth continuing.

I’ve gone without a title to place on this awful movie since 1983. Someone from the Forums started a thread of “Post plotlines of movies you don’t remember the title to”, and I was set in an hour.

Now, to find a copy and not actually have to pay for it.
