Overdue Memorial Day post

People who know me, know I respect our veterans to such an extent, it isnt even funny. A few years ago, two comics took time out from their normal strips to honor the day. Most comics are one-and-done, but these I saved. I want to share.
You’ve been to the Korean War Memorial, right? That one was done very well. My favorite of the war ones. Well, to the extent that one loves war memorials. You know what I mean..
No, but I wish I had. Ive been to DC twice. Once when I was about 8, the other when I was 21. The first time was a typical family vacation, get dragged around, not really caring. The second time, it was the summer before graduation and my parents said we could go on one last big vacation wherever I wanted. I’m sure they were thinking I’d want to go to Florida, California, Texas, who knows. I chose DC to go back to some of the stuff I didnt really appreciate at 8.
I didn’t have enough time to really hit everything I wanted to, but I had a blast anyway.
It just means I need to save some money and go back again some day.
