Geodetic benchmark in Wickford, RI

I was going through some old photos and found this. I was in Wickford with family, and I happened across this on a small walking bridge. I’ve come across other markers without discs, but this is the first disc I’ve actually seen.
most of the larger mountains out here in Colorado have those, and a lot of places I’ve been in the Adirondacks also.
I always think they are pretty neat
